All About Maps!

This month we are learning about different kinds of maps. Today we practiced using an“Atlas Grid”map.

We found the intersections between the letters and numbers (A-4, D-6, C-3…) to see different landmarks and locations. The kids said it was like playing Bingo!

Then we learned about map keys. We looked at various icons, and tried to decipher them. These icons are often found on maps.

Finally, we looked at a blank map of our school. We looked carefully at the map and tried to label each room.
