Sport Stacking

Today we did “Sport Stacking", also known as “Cup Stacking", or “Speed Stacking". This fun activity started in the early 1980's in the United States. It was made for children that were tired of traditional sports.

The cups are special cups that have a hole at the bottom to prevent sticking when you stack. The outside of the cups are slightly textured to allow for better grip, and the inside of the cups are very smooth so that the cups stack easily.

There are many different sequences that you can do. We did 3-3-3 and 3-6-3.

Sport Stacking seems simple, but takes lots of practice! The kids had fun playing, and trying to get faster times. Our Champion today had a winning score of 26 seconds. The other kids said,“Wow, you're so fast!", and "I will beat your time!”

Great job everyone! Let's go for a World Record!
