Ogikubo Shoe Kicking Contest
First Joe explained.
The rules were simple: each child would get two kicks, and the one who kicked their shoe the farthest would win!

The first two contestants lined up at the starting line with only their toes in their shoes.

The teacher yelled, ready…..set…..kick!

The kids kicked their shoes as hard as they could.

Last, everyone lined up together for a group Ogikubo kick!
The shoes soared through the air and landed with a thud in the middle of the playground.
The shoe kicking contest was a lot of fun, and it was a great way for the students to get some exercise and have some friendly competition. But most importantly, it was a day for the kids to let loose and have some fun!
