Farm Animals and Babies

Today, we learned about farm animals and their babies. The children matched the mother animals with their young and learned new vocabulary such as calf, lamb, piglet, foal, gosling, duckling, chick, and kid. Everyone enjoyed talking about the different farm animals and sharing what they know about farms.

We also discussed which animals the children would like to care for. Some children said they would like to take care of piglets, chicks, and lambs because they are cute and gentle, while others chose calves and foals because they love big animals. The class participated enthusiastically and did a wonderful job during the activity.
